NOS.OTROS WORK
Father and daughter live on different continents. Amanda is a visual and performance artist and currently resides in Spain. Mauro is a civil engineer and has lived his entire life in Brazil. Since Amanda left Brazil more than six years ago, they have communicated through spontaneous video calls — but there is one detail: he is always working. Mauro works from Monday to Monday. Still, work and the time difference do not prevent them from talking; in some way, this is how they maintain their bond.
-
Is it possible for work to provide us with genuine satisfaction, or is that merely a fiction that keeps us captive?
-
Can a moment of relief be found in the midst of work?
-
How can work and life be reconciled?
-
How can work be subverted without ceasing to generate capital?
From these questions emerges the idea of a performance consisting of an action carried out through a live video call, in which father and daughter talk about work and catch up on other aspects of their lives.
Description:
